Save and Spend

We are going to have to spend some money to be able to ride the winter out this January. There are obvious savings from parking the car in the backyard. Here is what money we have to spend on getting ready for biking this winter:


We budget $70 for fuel each month, and $50 for car repair. We also had $75 saved up in my bicycling envelope which is for my normal commuting to work.


Altogether that gives us $195 to spend on winter cycling apparel. We already have bicycles that we are going to use.

We ended up buying most everything from www.nashbar.com. They were having a great winter sale. We got Kristin some amazing winter gloves for $12.
